Data Architect

Hiring: Data Architect | Melbourne | Long-Term Contract (6–12 Months) | Hybrid 

We are currently looking for an experienced Data Architect for a long-term contract opportunity based in Melbourne (hybrid work model). 

This is an exciting opportunity to someone who love to take ownership in driving architectural direction, governance, and documentation standards. 

What We’re Looking For: 

• Strong core Data Architecture background (not Data Engineering-focused) 
• Proven experience working in enterprise environments 
• Excellent documentation and governance experience 
• Ability to drive and lead architectural functions 
• Strong stakeholder management skills 
• Experience in Financial Services will be highly advantageous 
• Comfortable working in a hybrid setup in Melbourne 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead and drive the existing data architecture function 
• Define and maintain enterprise data architecture frameworks 
• Ensure high-quality documentation, standards, and governance 
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders 
• Provide architectural guidance across data platforms and initiatives 

Contract Duration: 6–12 Months (High likelihood of extension)
